Hello, I would like to seek your advice. We're offshore and not currently employed under any Australian company. My husband's an electrical engineer while I'll be his dependent (also a skilled worker). Our work experience is around 8 years. Ages are within the bracket of highest visa points. Skills assessments are ongoing processing.

For those successful applicants who has same case as ours, where can you find employers that could sponsor 186 DE visa? Any recommended job search engines? Also, what are the chances of offshore applicant to secure a 186 DE visa?

    Thank you for your inputs!

Check out Seek, Indeed, Jora. If your skills are on the PMSOL you may be able to get offers. While 186 DE is ideal, maybe also consider 482 or 491.

Hi, my husband's occupation is actually on PMSOL this year. We wanted to pursue direct PR visa applications such as 186, 189, and 190 as we don't want the hassle to do another visa application after years of working there. Also, to save on expenses.

How can we point out that a job opening offers visa sponsorship? Is it really workable for offshore applicants? Thank you for your sharing!

Some would indicate if they offer visa sponsorship or not.

@mrs_hopeful its rare nowadays for 186DE to be offered to off shore candidates. Most of them are offered to those who are in Au and already working here hence nakakausap na nila employer nila ng direct

Oh, i see.. bale po mas common ang 482 ibibigay ni employer then 186 DE bahala ka na magprocess..? And pwede sya maprocess kahit di pa 3yrs, meaning yung 3yrs po is accumulated ng both Australia and non-Australia work experience?

if visa 186 or TSS or employer sponsor, paano po ang process to apply the Partner po? I checked the average processing time for Partner Visa (provisional), matagal ang processing.

Is this a good option: pasok muna as Student Visa ang partner, then we can apply Partner Visa later when settled onshore? Thank you!

  • olewolew Posts: 25Member

Can we apply Partner Visa po later or during validity of Student Visa? thanks

For employer sponsored visas, you just need to make sure that your dependent(s) [spouse, de facto partner, child(ren)] are indicated in the employer nomination. If unmarried, you will have to prove the existence of the de facto relationship.

Partner visa is a separate category/process... usually to bring a partner/spouse when you are a citizen or a resident and you want to bring the person in a relationship with you to the country.

    hello po sa lahat,

i am not sure if this is the right discussion that i can ask my inquiry. there's an employer that's willing to sponsor me with visa 482. gusto ko sana malaman yun requirement na "adequate health insurance", magprovide kaya yan ang employer for me? or do i need to pay it myself?

    salamat sa sasagot.

Hello po, we are currently on a 482 with a regional employer as a Registered Nurse. They wanted to sponsor our PR and I have read that 186 ang visa for that. My question is there are 2 types (actually 3) of streams we can take. We can go for TRT but our problem is less than 2 years pa lang kami with them. Can we apply for a 186 Direct Entry if currently employed kami with that employer on a 482 visa for 1 year +++ now? Thanks.

My wife is RN in OZ (via Bridging) last 2.5yrs and nag lodge kmi EOI ng 189/190/491 but until now di padin kmi nag invite since 2019. So We tried to hire agent sa OZ to look for her employer and Praise God 1st interview niya nakapasa agad (bound to WA) so We process 186 ENS below time table.

    1. Employer interview - Sep 12, 2021
    2. Signing of contract - Oct 10, 2021
    3. Lodge Nomination - Nov 15, 2021
    4. Lodge subclass 186 PR visa - Dec 22, 2021
    5. Medical done for family - Jan 01, 2022
    6. Result for medical released - Jan 5, 2022
    7. Approved Nomination by IMMI - Jan 18, 2022
    8. Received clarifications and docs for 186 visa - Jan 19, 2022 (PTE record of our 19yo daughter, school certification, TB screening for 6yo kid, Form 80 & 1221 & 46A).
    9. Need to submit again additional documents before Feb 16, 2022.

Praying n before mag end and Feb 2022 ma grant n PR visa nmin. God is Good!

Pwede po magapply na ng Visa kahit hindi pa approved ang nomination?

Question lang, since mag bubukas na ang boarder this 21Feb for tourist

wise ka yang mag tourist kami from Pinas to Australia habang iniintay namin ang pag lodge ng nomination at PR visa ng employer ng asawa ko?

  • happyfeethappyfeet Posts: 3Member

Hi, tanong lang po. I got nominated for visa 491, pero biglang hindi na pwede yung employer ko sa state na yun. Now I got a job offer pero sa different state na, okay lang ba to apply for nomination sa another state? This time employer sponsored 186 na?
