Sorry for the down-time kanina, I've sorted it out, everything should be back to normal.
Hi All, I hope everyone is well and also your family. As a way to extend help during this time of crisis, Visa Consort in partnership with Pinoy AU, would like to offer further reduced rate (for a limited period) to anyone who would wish to engage a migration agent service. If you have conducted your research, you know that their rate is one of the most affordable in the market. Please click here for more details about the offering.
Welcome to the New and Upgraded Pinoy AU Forum! We have only updated a couple of times since 2010. Apology it took some time. Some of the features are still being migrated. Please feel free to report here or email me at [email protected] if you will encounter any issues. Thank you.

Hi im an accountant. 27 y/o frm dxb. My hubby and i lodged our application last feb 2011 (yep, before the new point system) . Case officer allocated last 19 oct and advised for police clearance and medical. Sent our medical during the last week of oct. We are currently waiting for the results with crossed fingers

@shengsevilla, congrats po, that is as good as approved already :)

Actually pwdeng 1 month lang ang processing ng 175 visa basta meron kang (i think) $5K or $10K at meron ka na dapat na 457 visa. Legit po ito, hehe.
  • aoleeaolee SingaporePosts: 571Member, De-activated

Hi cedeinnoj, sori kkarating ko lang galing bakasyon kaya late ang reply.
Yung general level ng IELTS lang yung kinuha ko kasi mas madali aralin at makakuha ng mataas na mark compare mu sa academic. Yung wife ko sa cpa australia napa-assess, if i remember a few weeks to a month yung processing nila. Even though cpa ako sa pinas IT audit ang practice profession ko kaya sa acs ako nagpa-assess which takes 2months to process.

Di naman need lahat, siguro mga 5 ok na yun basta recent payslips. Submit ka rin naman kase ng contract copy di ba kaya pede na yun...
San mo pala plan magpa-assess? Ako rin, just compiling my docs for assessment para masubmit this March...May format ka ba ng COE, pede pakishare...
  • cedeinnojcedeinnoj Al JubailPosts: 10Member

@cedeinnoj Based sa CPAA website, you need to complete the online application form then mail the certified copies of the documents. Once you apply online, you will receive your reference number...
For those accountants who completed their assessments, please share your experiences. And sa iba naman na magpapa-assess pa lng, let us share our thoughts in this forum... I'm still compiling my documents for assessment, sana makahabol tayo before 1 July 2012...

Hi cedeinnoj, how where you able to get the info about cpa australia's assessment on management accounting course? Thanks in advance!

hello fellow accountants. my hubby and I are just starting to complete requirements for visa subclass 175 application. we just wanted to confirm if CPAs here in Philippines are not considered CPA in Australia? Di namin kasi ma-search if recognised ang PICPA/PRC as profesional accounting body sa Australia. We're both CPAs kasi and we're thinking if syllabus is still needed. And will appreciate na rin if you can share your assessment experience since dipa kami nakakapili kung san magpapa-assess.

Hi guys.. I have consulted two agents regarding my case but they gave me two different opinions. According sa isang agent, may experience before becoming CPA will not be counted at professional level. From section 2 school kasi ako and inde 2.00 ang general average.

If ________ university (Section 2 school) results are between grade 1.00 to 2.00, then she may be exempted from the PRC requirement and her work from graduation can be counted at a professional level.

On the other hand, yung isang agent sabi counted daw yung experience ko as long na CPA.

I'm very confused, if someone here had the same experience, please share. TIA! :)

nope, a degree in management accounting is not suited for skilled migration because management accounting is just one of the core subjects of those who major in accounting.

another test is if your degree will qualify you to take the Philippine CPA board exams, then you can apply under the various accounting professions in demand in AU. I think there are 4 of them.
  • janelle7janelle7 Los AngelesPosts: 7Member
PICPA and the various accounting professional orgs in Australia do not have reciprocity agreements. There's a list where they do have reciprocal arrangements.
  • janelle7janelle7 Los AngelesPosts: 7Member
As long as your are Accounting (not residual degrees) graduate and is paid for full time accounting work, regardless if you are a cpa or not, that is considered.
