Hi to All, Please take extra care guys wherever you are, take care of your love ones too. Especially to our friends in Singapore, more being confirmed, and are through community spread, no longer from people who travelled from China. Observe proper hygiene at all times and also monitor our little ones as they often put their hands in their mouth.

@Cassey thank you for your informative response po :) pero sabi kasi sakin ng agent ko is that we'll apply for ahpra first then once it's okay na proceed to Grad certificate course then after that pwede na daw ako mag PR agad. Though I know my agency is well known naman, I'm just wondering if meron ako same case sainyo :)

@maddie02 Hmmm, I'm not so sure with that... I haven't heard of any one who's done Grad Cert. and I don't think may short cut to PR application. You will still have to go through AHPRA registration and ANMAC skills assessment as you are an international nurse. Plus you will have to wait to be invited before you can lodge for PR application. Anyway, all the best. :)

Hi @Cassey ! Im new sa thread. Thank you sa infos. Ask ko lang, RN ako sa pinas pero yung experience ko sa pinas is past 5 years na. Enrolled nurse ako ngayon dito sa SG, 5 years experience. Gusto ko sana magpassess sa AHPRA if eligible ako to take BP, Ano ma-advise mo? Thank you. :)

@mikaaaaa Hi, unfortunately, hindi counted yung experience mo as Enrolled Nurse kasi ang inaapplyan mo is for Registered Nurses. Since yung experience mo as RN is past 5yrs na I don't think you'll be eligible for bridging. With that, you can do a conversion course if you want to register as an RN here in Au or you can continue your EN career. You will still need to check with AHPRA though if you are qualified to practice as an EN here in Au.

@revsky Hi, kung magaapply ka ang ANZSCO mo bale is yung sa RN-Medical. And yes, hindi credited yung as Nurse Educator since you only have to choose one over the other. You can't claim points for the Nurse Educator as well. Just be careful with the points you're claiming since most refusals are due to over claiming points. God bless on your application. Hope you'll get an invite. O:-)

Hi @Cassey thank you! May nagsabi kasi sakin ang ibang option is bumalik ako sa Pinas at magpractice as RN sa hospital kahit 3 months just to complete yung recency of practice lang then magpaassess sa Ahpra. Ano kaya kung ipush ko nalang magpassess sa ahrpa ngayon since magkaiba naman sila ng standard pag sinabing AuEN at SgEN try ko sanang gamitin tong nursing experience ko dito as my recency of practice. If ever ang decision outcome ng ahpra/nmba is refusal without referral for BP, makakaffect ba to sa next na pagpapaassess ko ng registration if ever makapagtapos ako ng conversion course?

@mikaaaaa You're welcome. That's another option as well kung gusto mo talagang ipursue yung bridging course. Just like what I've said it wouldn't be counted dahil magkaiba ang scope of practice ng EN with RN. It should be the SAME JOB TITLE para marecognize siya as recency of practice. Even with the ANMAC assessment it wouldn't pass as a part of your RN experience. EN here is Division 2 Nurse while RN is Division 1 Nurse. They are very strict here in Au with regards to that. It's not interchangeable.

Hi, just want to ask. Sa professional reference letter for anmac, can a senior staff nurse/ mentor sign it? Or it needs to be the manager? Medyo mahirap mgbigay ung manager eh, like last time for my ahpra, di talaga sya ngbigay. :(

@butterflyAngel Hi, sorry to hear that.. i can't understand kung bakit di ka niya binigyan. Is it because she finds it too tedious to do? How about offering her to just sign a reference letter made by you? She can review it and just sign it. Nakalagay kasi sa ANMAC it should be your direct supervisor and ANMAC usually calls them up.

  • CasseyCassey Melbourne, AustraliaPosts: 2,788Member, Moderator
@butterflyAngel I don't think it's fraudulent as long as it stays true to what it claims. Besides, it's not like she's not gonna read it before signing it. Anyway, Maybe best to call ANMAC and see what they have to say.

Hi Cassey! I read through the whole thread. Thanks to you and all our kababayans, medyo naliliwanagan na ko. Btw, my husband and I are both nurses. Currently employed sya as renal nurse for 5months. Ako last ko staff nurse for 6 mos 2015 kaso nag-awol ako and then gap since I got pregnant and gave birth. We've been planning about conversion program or bridging program.

    Question:

    1. Which of the 2 pathways ang pwde namin maisama agad si baby? Wala din kasi pag iiwanan na relatives since grandparents on both sides are abroad.

    2. Is it advisable na 2 kami magbridging/conversion or one at a time?

    3. For BP, ung experience ba dapat hospital or any setting as long as registered nurse ang job title?

    4. Has anyone tried applying for sponsorship in Darwin,NT after getting registered? Inlaws ko kasi nandon, daddy ni husband Citizen na.

Thank you very much for your time. God bless! :)

  • CasseyCassey Melbourne, AustraliaPosts: 2,788Member, Moderator
    @heyitsjovy Hi,

    1. Any of the 2 pathways pwede niyong maisama baby niyo. With Bridging course, you can either get a Visitor Visa (no work rights plus it may have the "no further stay" condition) or student visa which may ask for a show money. It's a short course around 3mos at the moment.
With conversion course, it's through student visa. Mas matagal nga lang around a year or 2.

    2. You can both study at the same time, it would all depend on your personal circumstances, kung may magaalaga ng baby niyo other than yourselves, finances, etc.

    3. As long as it's an RN role and as long as you can prove about your employment (COE, Payslips,Reference letter, etc) it should be fine.

    4. You can apply for sponsorship as long as you meet the points for migration. :)

@Cassey Hi thanks sa prompt reply.
May AECC agent na nagcontact sa akin kanina, I sent my husband's CV for assessment. We'll know from there.

Re: work experience I'm glad to know kahit di hosp. Sa situation kasi now I can't work night shifts dahil kay baby. Might as well apply sa mga clinics.

I have read about SVP schools na di na need ng show money daw? What's SVP? And for bridging, do we need to pay the full tuition agad?

But first, english test muna ni hubby. Hoping for good results para makahabol sa intake early next year. Thank you so much sa help!

@heyitsjovy Okay ang AECC. Yan din yung agent ni hubby rito sa Au. SVP is streamlined visa processing. Mas mabilis ang processing, yun nga lang there are only certain schools who are eligible for that. I'm not sure kung pwede ang short courses with SVP. With the fee, it depends on which uni you are going to. All the best.

    GOD IS GREAT :)
