Ok na sana ako sa Offshore applicants kaso may requirement na ganito e.

"additional requirements relating to job offers must be related to your occupation, and evidence is required showing acceptance of the offer."

Kelangan talaga may job offer dun sa queensland?

Wala ng chance mag-apply ng state nomination if living in other state ano po?

@masteruzi depende ata yan sa skill po, few months ago wala nman requirement na job offer sa case ko. Sa QLD lang ata yung onshore/offshore and I think walang chance if onshore ka tapos offshore lang na belong yung skill mo.. ako din dati ganyan eh, periop nurse offshore lang kaya ngapply ako kaagad early this year..

@LovellaEllen parehong kasama yung occupation ko as Agricultural Engineer sa offshore and onshore. kaso sa onshore kase kelangan nagwowork mismo sa Qld na for certain number of months. Offshore naman, natick ko lahat ng requirements ng HA at BSQM except the last part which is job offer related sa nominated occupation.

Should I continue to apply for 190 still?

@masteruzi there's no harm trying but the chance of getting an invite is low bec of the requirements.. How about 489? or just apply 190 to diff state na pasok ka sa requirements..

@LovellaEllen yeah, will try na lang. at least nagtry pa din kahit papaano. meron din sa South Australia na 190 kaso need din ng experience at nakatira din dun. hehe...

Current 489 visa requires you to stay in Regional Area for 2 years & work 1 year before it makes you eligible for Permanent residency under 887 visas.

New 491 Visa would require you to stay in Regional Australia for 3 years before you can apply for 191 visas.

Paki correct po if may mali sa intindi ko hehe.

For your future PR application you will be required to meet the below conditions

- Hold regional provisional visa for 3 years before making
PR application
- Have earned a minimum income for at least three years as holder of the regional provisional visa
- Have earned a minimum income for at least three years as the holder of the regional provisional visa

When will I be invited to apply for a 491 visa?

There is a ranking systems for an invitation to apply for a 491 visa. The rankings are:
1. Equal first: Applicant with a skilled partner OR applicants without a partner
2. Second: Applicant with A partner who can demonstrate Competent English (but does not have the skills for skilled partner points)
3. Third: Applicant with a partner who is ineligible for either competent English or Skilled partner points.

Can 491 visa holders lodge other visas?

491 visa holders cannot lodge certain visas until they have held a 491 visa (and met its conditions) for three years. This includes skilled PR visas (189 and 190), business visas (124, 132 and 188), employer nominated PR visa 186 and the onshore partner visa (820). This requirement to reside and work in a designated regional area is underpinned by the need to support economic development and population growth in regional areas.

How does the 491 visa lead to permanent residency?

The 491 is a five-year visa. You can access permanent residence through the Subclass 191 (Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional)) visa when the following is met:

1. You have lived, worked or studied in the designated regional area for at least three years, whilst holding a 491 visa, and
2. You can show earnings of at least $53,900 for three years. If you have a partner, only one of you needs to show this salary level (through tax returns) and this person would be the main applicant for the 191 visa
