    kung pwede ko isama lahat e hehe. Isa lang pwede libre accomodation and food.

    Isang malayong joy ride to, 5 hours drive from Adelaide to Mt. Gambier (South) then yung isa sa north naman 4 hours drive ang Pt Augusta.

    Ingat daw ako sa mga Kangaroo or Koala. Once a year ko lang gagawin ang ganitong biyahe. Magandang tour to sa SA.

    anyone here working in CSG Adelaide. just wanted to ask kung ok ba ang company na to. employee benefits, work life balance etc
  • adelaide_boiadelaide_boi SydneyPosts: 72Member
    @simpana,
    bro lahat ng company dito sa Adelaide: SME, gov't, NGO, corporation lahat sumusunod sa labor law kaya siguradong okay yan. Benefits, super, paid leaves, work life balance, workplace health and safety, LAHAT YAN kasama sa benefits. As of the moment medyo mahirap ang employment dito sa Adelaide kaya kung may offer sau, i-grab mo na.

    @simpana,
    remember nag-published ang SA government ng SML state sponsorship ng napakaraming occupations from tradepersons to highly skilled professionals (2011-2012). Eto na nagsipagdatingan na kaya napuno ng overseas migrants sa marketplace. Kaya sobrang hirap ngayon dito ng employment. Pero siempre kung exceptional naman ang qualification mo at talagang pinaghandaan mo ang job interview. Malamang ikaw ang makukuha. Siguro by next year maluwag na ulet ang job market, kasi mahigpit na ang upcoming immigration policy.

    I don't think SA govt will release 457 visas coz of the high unemployment rate these days.

    salamat kabayan. grabe na din pala jan. siguro andami na din pumupunta ng Australia. naka apekto din siguro yung recession sa US at Europe kaya Australia is the destination of choice ng mga immigrants.

    Kumusta mga parekoys!

    Me mga tanong lng po sa mga working in Adelaide na tungkol sa experience nyo while looking for a job.

    Usually mga ilang days or weeks bago magreply ang mga employers nung nag-apply kayo?

    Meron po akong on-going VISA 475 application, I'm planning to apply for a job while still here in Singapore. Siguro meron din naman parehas na case na nag-aapply kahit wala pa sa Adelaide.

    How was the reply from the companies when you apply online? Me sumasagot naman ba?

    Salamat po!
  • palkoopzpalkoopz AdelaidePosts: 18Member

    Another question pa po pala, ichecheck ba ng SA ung dineclare mo na Cash during the application pag nagmigrate ka na?

    Please advice.

    Salamat po!

    dalawa pa pong tanong, may I know how much usually ang budget nyo per week? sa pagkain, per meal? pamasahe? etc. exclude na ang rental.

    how's the public transport in Adelaide kung wala ka sasakyan?
  • mikaela01mikaela01 SydneyPosts: 265Member
    masasagot ko lang po ung question #2, meron po bus na umiikot sa city center, free po un.. meron ding tram from glenelg (south area) to city center to the north area.. or vice versa.. meron din po taxi..
    We were just there for a holiday but I love the place.
    Goodluck!

    @palkoopz

    for single food: AUD 5/day. Nagluluto ako, so ang 5 dollars, sobra-sobra na. Mura ang food dito sa Adelaide kumpara sa ibang States. Sa Coles ako nag-grocery kasi mura dun. Kung family kayo, siguro 10/day ok na.

    Accommodation nyo ranging from 200 to 300 /week. Depende sa location, mas malapit sa city, mas mahal ang upa. About bills, about 100/month.

    About sa job application. Madugo dito ang labanan pre. I-tailor mo ang resume mo sa bawat job na aapplyan mo. Paghandaan mo ang interview, magpractice ng speaking at i-memorize ang mga technical terms. Magbasa ka ng tips about interview, magagamit mo yun.

    Sobrang tindi ngayon ng competition sa workplace kaya kapag nagka-chance kang makaharap ang employer for interview, give your best shot!

    3 kaming ICT dito na bago, in 1 month nagka-work na, pero may kasamang swerte yun pre. Dapat ang baon mo pang 6 months. Kung hindi kaya, iwan mo muna ang misis mo at anak mo, papuntahin mo na lang sila dito kapag may work ka na. Yan ang ginagawa ng ibang pinoy na pumupunta dito.

  • palkoopzpalkoopz AdelaidePosts: 18Member
    @mikaela01 - Salamat!

    @adelaide_boi - Ayus, salamat sa mga tips! ICT din ako, sa Storage and VMware ang field ko. Baka ganon na lang muna ang gawin ko. Sa ngayon antay pa kmi ng CO. Sana maapprove kami dyan.

    God Bless sa inyong lahat! Kita kits na lang!

    @kitz82 required talaga ang may driving skill at driver licence dito sa Oz. Mas maganda siguro kong i-secure mo yun para magkaroon ka ng work.

    Sobrang lamig na dito sa SA. Grabe sa place ko, nagzi-Zero degree. Malapit ako sa Bowden.

    Mga adelaidan, paramdam naman dyan!!!
