Welcome to the New and Upgraded Pinoy AU Forum! We have only updated a couple of times since 2010. Apology it took some time. Some of the features are still being migrated. Please feel free to report here or email me at [email protected] if you will encounter any issues. Thank you.
Gusto po sana itanong if yung course na Certificate 3 Early Childhood (26 wks) and Education and Care (75 wks) na inoofer po samin is pathway po sa Australia Registered nurse registration and eventually to PR.
We are nurses po in PH and currently in UAE po as nurse din.
No way to get nurse registration unless you take a bridging/conversion program. Doing those courses above will not give you a pathway to PR. Pre requisite ang conversion to become an Au RN

Options to become a Registered Nurse in Australia:
1. Bridging course is a 3mos course for nurses who have work experience in the last 5yrs BUT because of the upcoming changes, this Bridging program will soon cease. Instead of this Bridging Course, they will introduce exams in the months to come. The specifics are not available yet for the exams.
2. Aside from the first option, you may opt to do a 1yr Nursing Conversion Course. You have to study for a year and once you’ve finished the course, you’re then eligible to register.
The courses that were offered to you doesn’t lead to Registration as a Nurse here. Please take the time to read. Kahit nakapagdown ka na sa agency just let them know na hindi appropriate yung course sa long term goal mo. Don’t complicate things for yourself. Mapapagastos ka lang at the same time, you’ll be wasting time. Unfortunately, hindi lahat ng agency ay truthful so you have to read and do your research before handing any money and before signing anything.

Thank you for the information.Very informative po kayo. Related information rin po ung concern ko.. Im Also a RN in PH and RN nurse here qatar. 14 years po expirience po till now... Ung agency po na nagaayos ng visa ko for Student suggest me to Lawson College in Australia mag aral. Then they advised me to take ung package course sa Lawson na Community Care and Leadership Management (Combination po ng: Certificate IV ageing Support + diploma Leadership and management) which is equivalent to 2.5years. Same question po as part of my reseach lang po, does this course can lead me to my plan to become a Registered Nurse is Australia and later for PR?
Thank you po and I really appreciate po sa information and advise from you
@REIN24 Sadly No... only an approved nursing conversion course, bridging program and by 2020, OBA pathway can lead to being RN in Australia. Those courses may lead towards employment through 482 (Temporary Work Visa) but not PR as a nurse...

@cucci Thank you so much po sa information. Sobrnag laki po ng help.
Ask ko lang din po,concerning po sa OBA, halimbawa po na nag take po ako ng isang course sa Australia in lawson, so im on a student visa po nun, during the time po na nag aaral ako, im i still qualified po ba to take OBA while im still studying or i need to finish that study course before i can take the OBA?
@REIN24 Di pa gaanong clear ang process ng OBA kasi di pa naglalabas ng full info. However, as to kung qualified o hindi ang AHPRA ang magde-determine kasi same as bridging you will need to submit the requirements and AHPRA will provide you with a referral letter. I think pwedeng pagsabayin while taking another course pero bear in mind na parang mas magiging focus ng OBA ang clinical placements at dahil hindi mo hawak ang sched ng placements eh baka mag conflict sa sched ng course kung saan ka na-grant ng visa. Then doble gastos pa kasi di naman free ang OBA.
I would suggest a little more wait to clear things up bago mag commit dyan sa current offer sayo.
